Black celebration.
On this of all days, we celebrate Aquarian bass handler and offset guitar wizard (warlock?) Leather Ed and appreciate the twisty, dark rock ‘n’ roll of Tahiti Syndrome (featuring Simon of Nuclear Family Fantasy) and Bang Bang Band Girl (featuring Ben Jaffe of P.E.). Come one, come all, come on.
New stuff.
Stay tuned…follow us on Bandcamp, Bands In Town and Oh My Rockness if you don’t already. Mmkay.
Other news.
We thank you for your understanding re: the disappointing (and rare) cancellation of our Alphaville engagement on January 19th last year. Ticketholders who weren’t able to receive a refund, please forward us your ticket link and we’ll work it out to do right by you.
Amanda ♑︎ welcomed in another year around the sun this month and was gifted a brand new custom assembled and wired jaguar (Burgundy Mist!) by the one and only Totally Wired Guitars. It will make its live debut it at Sleepwalk. Eddie will do a video on this so subscribe to Totally Wired Guitars YouTube channel for that!
Congratulations to Carter’s partner and Leathered’s 5th Beatle, Jasmin Way, who was awarded by the Regal Film Festival and Awards for her excellent editing work on The Fisherman (2024)
We three are gearing up to record our next round of demos for our upcoming EP / LP. If you want to support that effort and see it happen sooner rather than later…
…and/or: buy our merch or, heck, Venmo $ to AmandaBKitten with the word “Leathered” in the comment ♥︎
Influences and admirations.
Jaguars pronounced “jag-wires”. How the better birthday song helped get MLK Day onto U.S. calendars. Cool guy now at Gracie Mansion. Park Chan-Wook’s No Other Choice. Scout Paré-Phillips’ Lupine Daughter. The smoked dashi ramen at Tonchin (Williamsburg). Kind people. Mutual aid and cool collectives. Anna Copa Cabanna’s Funhouse Karaoke at TV Eye. You.
